Sunshine State Homeschoolers is a group of current homeschooling parents who help and support each other on our homeschooling journey! We are a state-wide secular, diverse, inclusive, and welcoming homeschooling community in Florida. We come from all walks of life and focus specifically on what we have in common - homeschooling. Sunshine State Homeschoolers has a thriving community in Central Florida made up of current homeschool families for online discussion and support and in-person events. We hold regular field trips, social and educational meetups, enrichment programs, a cooperative program, clubs, parties, kids’ dances, and our well-known TEEN DANCE (since 2015!). Our 2021 Fall Ball (teen dance) was featured in the Orlando Sentinel!

We support parent-led, independent home education, advocate for educational freedom and independence, oppose any additional oversight of home education, encourage families to use the umbrella school registration option, encourage families to help each other, believe the unique abilities scholarship should be preserved and protected, and collaborate with groups across the state to promote secular home education.
