SUNSHINE STATE HOMESCHOOLERS
Standard Course Plan
Students are enrolled in our standard course sequence unless specific course requests are submitted when the curriculum order is placed. For students in grades 9–12, course assignments are based on prior coursework, transferred credits, and remaining graduation requirements.
Each parent receives one guardian/teacher account that is connected to all courses assigned to their students. This allows parents to monitor progress and assist with minor course-related issues.
One-semester courses are worth 0.5 credit and include one course segment. Full-year courses are worth 1.0 credit and include two segments, A and B. Courses open on the first day of the academic year or within seven business days after the order is placed. Unless summer enrollment is added, all courses are scheduled to close on May 31. Students must complete Segment A before beginning Segment B.
All courses are assigned at the standard level and include assignments that are automatically graded by the platform rather than by a teacher. Parents serve as the teacher of record for each course. Final course grades are calculated using the following weights: 80% module progress, 10% unit tests, and 10% end-of-segment tests.
